They left looking a little shell-shocked. They hadn’t stayed with us since the birth and now we’d transformed into aliens - parent-shaped aliens. It was a bit like having a phone conversation on the train - sentences interrupted, restarted, broken, threads lost and conclusions never met. Chats truncated by external disruption - a smile, a cry, a burble, some sick, a burp, some milk, a nappy. They’d talked of having children themselves one day - I suspect after this weekend, it won’t be some day soon.
Your guests were obviously a bunch of wimps. It takes real courage to be a parent (not to mention lots of love and cash)!

Definitely not! These guys are as hard as nails! It was more to do with being hit with a ton of bricks!

I recon they must be really nice people, especially if there good friends with you. Some people just aren't ready in life for Kids, but hopefully they will learn lots from you guys, so when the time comes they will be fully prepared and make amazing parents!

They'll be fantastic parents and it won't be anything to do with us! They're a great couple.
