I am shocked. Truly surprised. Our dishwasher broke. No, I’m not surprised at that. Of course, it’s outside its twelve month guarantee - that’s not unexpected either. No, I’m astonished that uncharacteristically we paid for an extended warranty. I’m amazed we managed to find the policy, that the people on the Help Line actually helped, that although we’d booked an engineer’s appointment for a week hence, they called this morning offering a cancelled slot. And, incredibly, the engineer came, replaced some gubbins and fixed the washer. This all seems most unusual.
